What do we offer?
Propulsion & Climate Labs is Volvo Cars’ Centre for testing of propulsion systems, in complete vehicle as well as in component form. We operate and develop propulsion test facilities for vehicles, drivelines, electric motors, batteries and transmissions, as well as aerodynamic and climatic testing.
To meet the future, we need to utilize state of the art methods to test and verify next generation cars in an efficient and correct manner. We are in a technology shift were the design is changing in a rapid pace, are you up for the challenge to be agile and at the same time deliver repeatable and precise data? Then the role as Test Engineer within the team Electric Driveline Lab is the place for you to prosper.
The team is expanding from a small research laboratory with a little team of that works tight together, to a lab that can support the industrialization of the future electrified powertrains from Volvo Cars, there we will drive the validation and verification by our self. We are a cross functional team that perform all from troubleshooting of different SW to write test reports, perform accuracy calculations to mechanically installation of the HW in the test cell.
What you’ll do
You will do tests on all levels in both stand-alone set-ups and with CAN and HIL-systems. You will be responsible for the daily operation of the test bed and make sure all test equipment used is maintained and calibrated. You will do the installation of test object in test bed, program the automatic test system, preparing new tests i.e. new drive cycles, setting up simulation models in test bed computer system and plan, execute and analyze tests together with internal customers.
You will continuous get the chance to learn new test methods and about complex systems.
Skills and Experience are Important:
• Experience of validation and verification
• Experience of working with HIL SW and testing simulation
• Comfortable using with CANanalyser, INCA and object-oriented programming (PA tools, Phyton)

You have a genuine interest of developing the testing operation, you are curious and like to learn new things! You enjoy being part of a team and are a great communicator, but you are also comfortable working independently. You work with good patience and accuracy over time.
We would like to work even more agile than we do today, so if you have experience from that is very meritorious.
