Powertrain Engineering is looking for a Test Engineer within engine testing.

We are proud product owners for components, systems as well as complete powertrains. We are accountable for the lifecycle management of our products, from advanced engineering, through product development into the maintenance phase. The majority of our powertrain components are traditional combustion engines, after treatment systems, transmissions and axles, however the importance of e-mobility and combustion engines with new fuels are growing every day.
We stand in front of significant challenges – where reducing transport emitted CO2 emissions is one of the biggest.
In this position you will be part of an organization dedicated to technology as well as empowering and developing our employees. We always use customer satisfaction as the ultimate performance measurement.
Your responsibilities in the role as Test Engineer:
In the role as Test Engineer you will together with the test cell operator measure engine performance and emissions, where the main target is to conduct reliable test data. Beside this it is very important to understand the how the hardware setup affects the results from the test. You will be responsible for planning and preparing the test, ensuring the quality during testing, analyzing, validating and documenting the results. Alongside performing tests, an important part is to be a team player contributing to our supporting culture and drive the team forward.
Who are you? (Preferred knowledge/experience)
We believe that the most important aspect for this position is to have a genuine interest in engine development as well as to find joy in sharing and collaborating with your colleagues. We are looking for a person who enjoys the mix between the pulse in testing activities and the analytical challenge to draw conclusions.
To enjoy and thrive in this position, we also believe it is important to gain energy from continuous development and improvement; both in terms of learning and developing as a person, as well as implementing new test strategies and solutions.
Problem-solving and having an analytical approach as well as an eye for details, is highly appreciated.
We also believe it is important to have:
Master of Science or similar education
Education or experience of engine and exhaust aftertreatment is needed
Experience of measuring systems is an advantage
Fault tracing skills
Personal interest in combustion engines and experience of mechanic work is valued
Fluent in English, written and spoken
License for truck (C/CE) is a merit
