Test engineer for embedded Electric Power Steering actuator

Test engineer for embedded Electric Power Steering actuator

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

We are a group of 12 people in search of an enthusiastic and sharp tester for electric power steering to strengthen the group!

Your tasks

You will plan, develop and execute tests for the electric power steering on a system level. With steering we mean both steering by steering wheel and wheels that turn, but also how you can steer autonomous vehicles so that they follow a certain road. Focus will be on setting up a SIL- and HIL-test environment, create simulation models, develop and automate regression tests together with making test in vehicle. You are expected to systemise, write code for test, run code in an emulating environment and document the results.

Since we are testing our systems in vehicle to see that everything is working in real life and that we have been considering all effects, you will have the opportunity to take driving licence for trucks as a part of the job.

In the group we are mostly working with steering actuators that are purchased but the electric power steering is new system where we will develop the steering actuator together in an agile way with the supplier. We work cross functionally with groups within mechanics, integration and autonomy so you will get a broad network within the company, varying tasks and you will se real results from what we work with!

This is some of the things that you will work with:

• Understand, adapt and be responsible of inhouse test environment for the SIL-testing and HIL-rig
• Create new or adapt existing models for HIL-rig
• Creating automated test scripts in Python
• Discuss complicated requirements with product owner and SW developer
• Handle and document test cases
• Be a part of an agile development team of the electric power steering with test responsibility and quality thinking.
• Execute acceptance tests and exploring tests on newly developed SW
• Handle and maintain regression tests, methods and documentation for those
• Execute regression tests of SW releases

The team needs this

A person that enjoys an inventive work environment with a high degree of freedom. You are a natural team player who shares your findings and mistakes with colleagues since you are working together towards a common goal. You are positive to taking on new assignments and feel challenged to resolve technical problems whenever they arise. Finally, you have the courage to speak your mind and stick up for your ideas and views.

You must have the following:

• University degree in mechatronics, computer science, electronics, machine technology or an equivalent/neighbouring area.
• At least 2 to 5 years’ experience in a similar role
• Experience of testing embedded systems in SIL and HIL
• Experience of writing test scripts, preferably in Python
• Great communication skills English
• Driving license B

Meriting for the role:

• Great communication skills in Swedish
• Skills in Mandarin
• Driving license C

What we can offer you

In addition to an open, playful and interactive work environment, Scania also offers you professional development opportunities and benefits such as company car, mutual bonus, occupational pension, flexible working hours and much more.
