About us:


At Propulsion Development at R&D, we develop the next generation of electrified and conventional power trains, providing superior propulsion solutions for a truly sustainable future.

You will be part of UPBG Gears, Shafts and Planetary group at transmission development consisting of design and test engineers, object leaders, and product owners.

Our task is to design and test high-performance gears, shafts and bearings in main and planetary gearboxes ensuring best-in-class performance for efficient, durable and reliable power trains, working with a sustainable, customer-centric, and exploring approach.

Your main tasks as a test engineer will include:


• be part of our innovative team developing and verifying our products
• help create insights into future product solutions and solve challenges connected to current products
• performing hands-on tests in our rigs, together with a team of ambitious test engineers
• develop our test methods, especially for emerging e-mobility products, you will play an important part in this process
• analyse test results to determine the next step in the product development and verification plan
• automation and scripting


As part of our team, you will follow the development of the hardware from idea to finalized product and will be an important part of the continuous learning in the team.


Your profile:


The successful candidate should have an engineering or master's degree in mechanical engineering, materials technology, vehicle technology or similar, with a few years of experience working in a related field. A high level of initiative and good cooperation skills are necessary. We look for you that are curious, problem-solving, and driven to deliver results.


Meritorious skills and knowledge include:


• planetary or gearbox construction
• material technology and processing, such as casting and hardening
• programming skills (Python, Matlab or similar)
• software INCA, DEWESoft
• automatic control
• acoustics or NVH engineering
