Arbetsbeskrivning
Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Scania is facing an intense period driving the shift towards an electrified future. At the department of Propulsion development, complete electrified drivelines are developed in order to meet this challenge. New components such as electric machines and transmission systems adapted for electrified drivelines opens up a new area in the acoustic field. E-machine noise by itself as well as gear noise, which has become more dominant in the absence of a conventional combustion engine, must be addressed. Both from a legalization point of view as well as the perception of a customer.
The group and Your tasks
In the group Gear technology and NVH, we are now strengthening our acoustic team with a Test engineer. The group consists of 13 experienced engineers whereof three are working in the acoustic field, covering both testing and simulation. We are now looking for you, a Test engineer that can support our more experienced Test engineers as the need for testing is continuously increasing. This is a great chance to grow as a test engineer and learn from more experienced colleges. Your mission will span over the whole chain which makes this position more interesting, from planning and conducting tests to subsequent analysis and presentation of the outcome and findings from your tests. Tests may be in a specially equipped test rig or in a test vehicle.
Your profile
To be successful in this position, a documented theoretical background in acoustics is necessary in order to be able to do the analysis as well as practical skills, as the preparation of test setups must be carried out in an accurate fashion. A couple of years of experience in acoustic measurements are meritorious.
We believe that you are a person who has a structured approach to your tasks and that you work proactively through your projects to ensure that everything runs as planned. You are driven but at the same time keep the awareness of the quality of your work. Cooperative skills are also necessary for this role as a test engineer, as it involves a lot of contact with designers among others.
