Arbetsbeskrivning
Would you like to be at the forefront of the development of autonomous trucks and buses, and shape the sustainable transport system of the future?
Then join us at autonomous transport systems at Scania!
At the Autonomous Systems department we develop complete autonomous transport solutions, which incorporates both self-driving vehicles, and a connected infrastructure with a control tower. The development is conducted in close cooperation with partners and customers, and incorporates everything from research to the industrialization of products.
Our offer
We offer an interesting and challenging job, with plenty of scope for new ideas. Scania’s culture is characterised by openness, diversity and respect for the individual. Our people are our most important resource, so we invest in employee training. We will give you the opportunity to develop your skills so you can grow with us.
The Team
The group Autonomous Function Test is responsible for the top test levels to ensure function and quality of the autonomous transport solutions. The team consists of experienced test engineers that work closely together from defining test strategies to performing tests, both in simulated environments and real world testing. We are presently looking to strengthen the part of the team working mainly with tests in simulated environments.
About the position
You will work in a dynamic environment, with varying tasks, and a focus on tests in simulation environments. The work will include the development of new test cases for our Software In the Loop (SIL) environment, including follow up in close cooperation with the developers, and reporting of results. It will also involve setting tool requirements, and evaluating new tools in cooperation with our tools team. Further, you will work cross-functionally with the development of our test strategies, processes and work methods, to help ensure test coverage, safety and functionality. Since we are a small team, you will have the possibility to be part of shaping your work, and your main focus based on your interests.
This is a test engineer multi-match, where we have to prove that our system is safe, and can operate on public roads. It is not just about connecting tests to traditional requirements, but also considering test coverage of operational design domains, and testing systems with artificial intelligence. We have to show that our perception can detect and classify all objects, and that our planner can handle all traffic situations, with an unlimited number of things that might occur, including unknowns we will never be able to eliminate.
Who are you
We are looking for you who think the job sounds interesting, have a technical university degree, and have at least a few years of work experience within a technical area. Experience in software testing, functional testing of embedded systems or similar is a merit.
As a person you have the capability to consider the whole system and its integration, without losing sight of the details. You like complex challenges and are interested in learning new things. You are outgoing and look for cooperation both within your team and cross-functionally to solve problems, at the same time as you have the ability to pursue issues on your own.
You should be fluent in English, both written and oral and have a driving license for passengers cars.
