Assignment Description:
We are looking for a Test Engineer responsible for the development and enabling of new Infotainment system powered by Android. You’ll be involved in developing a system together which re-thinks the nature of car infotainment, defined by a user-friendly interface and an unparalleled connectivity.
What you'll do:
· Guardian of our quality- and test strategy that enable a continuous flow of high-quality customer value from our development teams.
· Work with several integration levels, and secure, adapt and align with what is relevant for our team as well as contribute to the high-level quality assurance.
· Continuously work with test case development and/or hands-on testing in rigs or test cars, both in cooperation with the developers and other testers in the team.
· Interface/ support to users, continuous status monitoring of infrastructure, be an important team member in the test system development team.
· Support with expertise when fault tracing problems related to test systems.
· Design test plans, procedures, scenarios, and scripts to accurately assess new products or software updates according to requirements and product vision.
· Collaborate with the teams to set guidelines and requirements on the test practices and QA process.
· Identify, analyse and create detailed records of problems that appear during testing, such as software defects, bugs, functionality issues, and output errors, and work directly with software developers to find solutions and develop retesting procedures.
· Provides guidance for performance test initiatives that take a true end-to-end focus on ensuring client side, server tiers, database and data integration jobs are performing as expected.
· Communicate clearly and effectively with test personnel, users, developers, and clients to facilitate quick resolution of problems and accurate documentation of successes.
· Ready to jump into different products, systems and teams when needed.
Who you are:
· Experience from mid to large-scale automated software testing operations based on continuous integration and applying software testing principles.
· Have a Masters’ or bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer science, or equivalent area of education and must have relevant working experience.
· At least 2 years’ experience as a tester or developer with experience from Automotive (VCC, GTT, etc).
· Possess good knowledge of Vector tools (CANoe/ CANalyzer), and communication protocols (Ethernet, Flex Ray, CAN and LIN), and Java/C++/C/Python.
· Electrical knowledge with skills to perform measurements with Multimeter and Oscilloscope and soldering skills.
· Expert in implementing and executing test plans and test cases.
