Position: Summer worker
Location: Lund, Sweden
Job type: Full time, Temporary.
How will you contribute?
You will be part of one the Applications development teams. The teams specialize in programming and digital image processing that is used in our instruments to automatically classify cells in blood and body fluids. In this position you will assist your team in validating analysis results achieved by the application against true results, obtained by either manual microscopy or by cell counters. The job also includes manual testing of the application and assistance in writing test documents and requirements to be used during for formal tests. This position offers a unique opportunity to experience the development and testing processes used at CellaVision. The position is for the duration of the summer 2023.
Work tasks as Test Engineer:
- Get acquainted with the clinical use of our application by learning more about cells and how they are analyzed
- Using Excel and/or Python to analyze existing results
- Cooperate with our Application Specialists for gathering more specific data
- Running and testing our application on real samples
- Writing reports
- Writing test documents
- We work in small teams; hence we give our coworkers both a lot of freedom but also a lot of responsibility when it comes to finding and resolving problems.
- We apply an agile approach and have a close collaboration between departments, so your ability to cooperate is something we value highly.
What will you bring?
- You are studying to become a Master of Science in any field.
- You are interested in problem solving and data analysis and you don’t mind turning every stone to find the reason for a problem. You are also interested in learning more about blood cells and the clinical use of CellaVision’s products and you are good at expressing yourself in documentation (English).
- You are a meticulous person who is passionate about presenting high quality work. As a test engineer at CellaVision the result of your findings will be used by our customers, just as if you were part of our permanent staff.
- Finally, you enjoy an innovative environment, where no week is like the last and a lot of laughs occur daily.
