What do we do?
We are responsible for vehicle testing in terms of Fuel consumption, Energy Efficiency, Drivability, Air resistance (Air drag) and Rolling resistance. Tests are performed both on Test track but also on public roads. Purpose is to verify that new technical solutions is proven to be better than today’s production. The result is also a vital part in CO2 calculations. Our stakeholders are Feature leaders.
We also develop new Productivity test methods that will support electrical and autonomous vehicles development. We believe that the future consists of new technologies and this team is aiming to be in the front line.
The position is situated at Hällered Proving Ground on a test site is shared between AB Volvo and Volvo Car Group.
What will you do?
As a member in our team, you will do the following:
Prepare test equipment before test.
Prepare vehicle before test.
Dialogue with mechanics and test driver before/during/after test.
Collect test data from testing, analyze and report.
In continuity improve test methods, your own competence, and team spirit.
This work is a mix of practical and analytical tasks.
Who are you?
We hope you have:
Passion for trucks
Passion for testing and test equipment
Previous experience or interest in Fuel and/or Energy consumption
Previous experience or interest in Aerodynamics
Ambition to explore in area of test method development & Power BI
We believe you have a bachelor of science degree (or similar) and have been working in the Automotive industry for some years. If you have been working Agile it is a merit.
You are a good team player. We see collaboration as a corner stone in this Team. We believe that we are stronger together. With your curiosity and eager to learn you will be an important part of this team. Furthermore, it is important that you adapt on not expected changes. You have a positive mindset without prestige.
B driver’s license is required.
If you have C / CE driver license it will be a plus, but not a requirement for this position.
