Your role
As Test Framework Developer, you are responsible for the design, development and maintenance of a scalable automated test framework used for testing automotive embedded ECU software in general and infotainment system in particular. In the process, the design of test environment defined to be in such a manner that it meets the requirements of the developers. You support the development teams by designing their software components for testability. Furthermore, you discuss and provide feedback to the developers and testers during retrospectives and suggest new testing solutions.
Main responsibilities
Develop, maintain and enhance the test automation framework and infrastructure
Support test automation engineers in their use of automation tools
Drive continuous improvements in tools & processes to achieve a flexible, sustainable and efficient automated test environment, for platform-independent current and next-generation vehicle platforms
Expand existing automation framework to provide additional test capabilities
Evolve automated test framework to achieve higher test throughput, increased accessibility and test execution flexibility
Develop solutions that improve automation engineer’s efficiency & effectiveness in automation test development, execution and troubleshooting
Improve the reliability & repeatability of automated testing
Update framework to achieve sustainability and maintainability
Your profile
Required Skills
Excellent software development skills
Fluent in various scripting languages for test automation (Python, C# )
Knowledge in Java and Jenkins
Object-oriented software design experience
Knowledge in Robot Framework is meritorious
Knowledge in test automation concepts, practices and procedures is meritorious
Expert in analyzing, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues
Personal qualities
You have good communication and social skills
Shall have good cooperating and team working skills. Additional emphasis will be placed on spirit, social skills and social sensitivity (communication and empathy)
You have big interest in automation
An open mind with a willingness to share knowledge and experience
Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
Solid understanding of and demonstrated experience in using appropriate tools
Creative approach to problem solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view
