Our Exciting Opportunity
STP (System Test Plan) and Network Infra (SNI) is a part of Development Unit Networks. SNI works hand in hand with product development units with its mission to enable and support cost efficient radio development worldwide for both present and future business needs. This will be achieved by enabling flow and transparency, improved collaboration with aligned way of working as well as reducing cost through infrastructure sharing. SNI is responsible for providing a Test Environment that enables testing & development within Development Unit Networks.
The test infrastructure engineer works as a part of a global STP Infra team to supports HW and Infra program by keeping required test equipment in stock and/or managing procurement of those items. The team also crafts budget forecasts and manages the budget within allocated frame for test equipment.
You will
Collaborate with global STP infra team in equipment and budget discussions
Act as a part of the primary interface in coordinating with Lab Site Operations in Stockholm and Linköping on keeping STP Infra equipment in stock
Support the hardware program with technical competence and procurement of STP Infra equipment
Participate in budget forecasts, work and manage the budget within allocated frame for STP Infra equipment
Support global STP Infra team with technical competence and analysis in areas of 3PP products used in the test environment, such as switches, SFPs (small form-factor pluggables), and Radio-frequency equipments
Identify and propose alternative products/solutions that fulfill the technical and delivery needs
Drive improvement activities in STP Infra area
To be successful in the role you must have
A degree in Engineering, IT, Telecommunications, or equivalent
Experience in working in agile teams, collaborating with other teams and fields
Experience in RAN domain (Radio Access Network domain)
Experience in test environments
Knowledge in budget, CAPEX and Expense
Knowledge in asset and consumable handling and inventory management
Technical competence in infrastructure equipment, such as switches, SFPs and RF equipment
Knowledge in procurement processes
Knowledge in Ericsson PRIM and GASK
Experience in driving improvement work
Product development knowledge and Product Lifecycle Management knowledge
