We are now looking for a motivated, result-oriented and self-driven Test Object Engineer.
Job description
A Test Object Engineer administrates and owns the responsibility of keeping test objects for the complete solution up to date (software and hardware) so they are ready for testing activities of different projects.
* Coordinating test need from teams within the Solution
* Collaborate with Program Vehicle Manager to administrate AD, ADAS, LVC and VEMC vehicle fleet.
* Hands on work is expected in coordination with test object engineer such as:
* Handle incoming cars and book preparation through direct contact with workshop
* Make sure prep-info is available and communicated to workshop
* Collect car, bring to workshop and return when the prep is done
* Create CDSID and access for each car and add into Outlook to enable booking through calendar
* Handles request on updates related to quality issues, change of tyers etc from “vagnsingenjör”
* Plan and sync with testers and PV16 regarding what/when to update (non AD-mules)
* Collect and return car to designated place
* Do trouble shooting and updates in car when applicable/needed
* Sync and supervise weekend work related to change of tyres (approx. 4 times per year)
Requirement profile
* Previous experience as test engineer, we value the knowledge around vehicle testing
* Proven experience in fault tracing
* Knowledge in preventive maintenance
* In depth knowledge of SWDL and SW processes in automotive industry
* Preferred to have previous experience at Volvo Car
* “Can Do”, helpful, self-driven and proactive attitude
* Decision making capacity based on current information and considering future effects
* Skilled in social interaction, building long lasting relationships that contribute to the project success
* Stress Management – can work under pressure
* Experience in expeditions processes, requirement and car preparations
* Volvo Cars tools: DSA, SWDL, Lotus Notes, Sharepoint, TOCC
* Organized and neat in way of working.
