Who is your future team?
You will work in the Production System Test Platform, a team of 18 dedicated engineers who develop and support tests within a variety of areas such as optical tests, audio, radar, PCBA etc. We are mainly focused on developing software used in our test systems, but we also take responsibility for how things should be tested, and how the software works together with the hardware. The tests are used in high volume production at our factories around the world, and every year millions of products are tested in our systems.
Our team is part of a larger division of about 100 engineers working with production engineering and technology, and together with our colleagues within electronics, mechanical engineering we develop and support production systems globally.
What you'll do here as a Test Platform Engineer
In your role as Test Platform Engineer you will be responsible for the development of production tests to ensure that no errors in the production process affects the quality of our products. Right now, Axis is putting a lot of effort into developing audio products such as speakers and microphones and this role will initially be focused on developing high quality audio tests supporting these products in production. In this role you will take full responsibility for the test development, which includes a variety of tasks such as collecting information and defining a test method, implementing the software needed to execute this test, defining the requirements of the hardware needed and order that hardware internally from our colleagues. You will also perform integration of the test, making sure that HW and SW works together, quality assure the test and make sure it is reliable, and document everything before we deliver the finished test to our product development projects who will then use it when we start up production of our new products.
Your main duties will be:
* Define test methods for testing primarily Audio products such as speakers
* Develop production tests using C# and National Instruments TestStand
* Defining hardware needed to execute the tests
* Integrate test SW and HW and secure quality of the tests.
Who are we looking for/Who are you?
We think you are a hands-on person who is curious, responsible, organized and methodical. You enjoy problem solving, working with both software and hardware and bringing it all together. You should have a good ability to transfer knowledge to others. Ability to communicate is fundamental both within the project teams and in the contact with our manufacturers.
At Axis each employee contributes to a positive team spirit and working environment, it is therefore important that you have good interpersonal skills and an open mind. The work involves a lot of freedom and independence, which requires that you are proactive and take initiative.
Furthermore, you have:
* University / college degree, preferably within engineering physics / nano / electrical engineering or equivalent
* Knowledge and interest in programming, since this role involves implementing code in e.g. C#.
* Good communication skills in English and Swedish, both in speech and writing
It is a plus if you have experience of one or more of the below:
* Experience / interest in audio systems
* Experience of test development
* Experience in high volume production
