Test Specialist for mobile applications, TestCenter, IKEA IT

IKEA is seeking a Test Specialist to initiate and drive the Mobile Test Service at IKEA, establishing the necessary architecture and infrastructure for verification of mobile applications to ensure our Agile teams across the landscape are delivering high-quality products that are performing as expected. As a Test Specialist, you will work both within the centralized Mobile Test Service including both in-house and cloud-based device testing but also side by side with development and business partners to determine optimal test coverage and ensure high quality software is delivered to our customers using our mobile applications.

You are expected to act as a strategy lead and driver for this service including among others testing activities in the areas of manual and automation testing, test environments, data conditioning and application specialties specific to mobile testing. You will need to be collaborative and influential across the organization to overcome quality engineering challenges as we accelerate our SCRUM process, shift to Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment.

You will serve as a customer advocate by helping to drive the software development process toward quality-centric methodologies.

What you'll bring to the team:

- Take the lead on driving the Test Center service for testing mobile applications
- Establish and implement the necessary architecture of our automation infrastructure, both in-house and cloud-based
- Strong ability to create and design test automation infrastructure
- Produce documentation for automated frameworks and educate other engineers
- Proven ability to write automated test scripts to verify mobile application features
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement test automation infrastructure
- Strong understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CD)
- Demonstrated ability to set up Jenkins jobs and environments
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain code repositories with Git or SVN
- Knowledgeable in a variety of automation frameworks e.g. Appium, Selenium, Jasmine etc.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented development principles using C# or similar
- Ability to work with minimal supervision, manage priorities, and stay organized
- Ability to influence others and work well in a team-oriented environment
