Test Verification Engineer

Are you passionate about software and have several years of experience in function verification? Do you want to help create the best steering systems in terms of safety, sustainability, and steering feel? The Steering Department at our client is now looking for a Test/Function Verification Engineer with strong collaboration skills and a deep understanding of steering systems and their impact on the vehicle.

As a Test/Function Verification Engineer, you will be responsible for verifying and validating steering system functions at the component, domain, and vehicle levels. You will work closely with our suppliers to ensure that the software controlling the steering system is developed according to our clients product development framework and testing processes.

Your Responsibilities:
- Verify and validate functions such as:
- Haptic Warning
- Oversteer
- Understeer
- Active Return
- Inertia Modification
- Basic Assistance
- Diagnostics and dependability (SWDL, DTCs, DIDs)
- Safety Limiter for ADAS
- Safety Limiter for SW end-stops
- ADAS Angle Controller
- ADAS Torque Overlay
- Cold Temperature Compensation
- Friction Detection
- Tuning Sets
- Personalization
- Safety Monitor for AD
- Degradation (fallback assistance generation)


Din Profil
- Passion for software with several years of hands-on experience in function verification at the component, system, and vehicle levels.
- Master’s degree in Controls and Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written) and holds a B driving license, driving regularly.
- More than 3 years of hands-on experience in:
- Engineering documentation (requirements)
- Steering system software function verification
- Project management
- Supplier management
- System safety
- Cybersecurity
- Self-organized and fully knowledgeable in working independently within Volvo's product development processes, systems, and tools.

Merits:
- Work experience at Tier-1 (steering supplier) or OEM as a function verification engineer.
- Experience testing on test tracks/rigs for validation.
