This vacant role is to test our products that we engineer in the team. Employment is with Husqvarna AB in Huskvarna Sweden.
About The Team
The Husqvarna Battery Competence Center (BCC) is a battery development expert team serving the Husqvarna Group with battery and charger solutions. The BCC is located in four sites, both in Sweden and Germany.
The Test & Verification team work with test & verification of battery solutions for all Husqvarna products including robotic movers, handheld battery power products and ride-on lawn movers. The tasks include test & verification of complete battery packs and their subsystems as BMS (Battery Management System) and battery cells. Our main responsibility is to verify that the battery packs and cells deliver according to the requirements.
The team is currently in a phase of expansion and we're building up competence and capability to support our R&D organisation with test & verification expertise.
Role Description
The person we are looking for will be part of an growing the team that is on the mission to build up the competence for test and verification of complete battery packs and the BMS (Battery Management System) subsystem.
In detail:
Test & verification work in battery development projects
Develop verification plan together with the project.
Lead and execution of the verification plan of a battery project.
Perform battery pack tests, analyse test data, write test reports and report the results to the stakeholders.
Support battery development projects with validation of requirements.
Investigations and analysis of quality issues.
Battery laboratory development and maintenance
Build and maintain test equipment per requirements from battery pack and its subsystems.
Participate in development of test methods for verification of battery packs and its subsystems.
Design and implement / lead SW development for the automatic operation of the test rigs.
Keep inventory list of equipment on the site.
This is a role that requires physical presence in the office.
The Test & Verification Engineer will report to the Test & Verification manager. The T&V manager is reporting to the R&D director who is reporting the head of the BCC.
Job Requirements/skills
This is a role that will suit anyone who is aspiring to approach and ultimately master the heart in the electrification journey that the world has embarked on – the battery. Interest in battery technology is a must. Further, what is absolutely essential is willingness to learn – this is one of Husqvarna groups most dynamic environment.
Skills:
Must have;
BSc in relevant engineering fields (Electronics / Mechatronics / Software) or equal work experience from electronics / electronics / software.
Minimum 2 years of experience in one or several of the aspects of the role above.
In order to automate test methods and procedures you must be experienced in LabView.
Experience from testing electronics/mechatronics with embedded software
Experienced in recording, handling, analysing and visualizing test data from different common formats.
Ability to understand technical descriptions, regulations, standards and requirements and develop test methods based on these.
English and Swedish fluency in both writing and speaking is a must.
Nice to have;
Experience from regression testing is meritorious.
It's a plus if you have experience in specifying, sourcing and installing test equipment for a lab, including writing specification, equipment selection, debugging of test equipment.
As a person you have a genuine interest for technology and is eager to find and test new solutions to problems you are facing. You can self-manage and can work in a structured way based on the plan that you define based on requirements for the task at hand. Cooperation in a team is something that you like and is motivated by. Communication with the R&D organization such as technical experts is a common task.
