Tester: 4G&5G Baseband performance verification (JCAT Automation focus)(420208)
The organization you will become part of
PDU Baseband is part of DU Networks and is responsible for driving baseband software product development end to end by having competence and capability to take on full feature responsibility. This includes product ownership of the LTE and NR RBS baseband products as well as responsibility for development plans and securing maintenance of the products.
PD BB is currently spread across different sites in Sweden, Canada, China, Poland, India and Croatia. You will be situated at Stockholm Kista site.
What you will do within the organization
You will be part of a section that has UL PHY responsibility. Your team is responsible for “Baseband Performance Verification”. Baseband verification measures the UL-L1 throughput, including HARQ and PC feedback for different propagation models and SNR or C/I.
The team do test analysis, test design, test execution, troubleshooting and test result reporting of the physical layer software. Tests are done using signal generators and a Java environment. Your role in the team will be more focused on Java test automation.
As a baseband performance tester, you will
· Be very active in requirement analysis and break down to test tasks
· Write new and update existing test cases in Java
· Do hands-on lab work
· Do automated and manual, test execution
· Perform advanced troubleshooting activities
· Report test results
· Initiate and drive improvements in ways of working and in our test product.
Technical Competences:
This role requires excellent skills in telecommunication / 3GPP 4G & 5G specifications as well as in instruments and Ericsson base station products. The work will require you to have a testers mindset in a technology heavy, cutting edge development environment. The team has experienced manual testers. There is need for some automation skilled developers.
Required qualifications
· Education: Master of Science within the field of Applied Physics, Electric Engineering, Wireless communication or Computer Science
· Experience in Java/JCAT.
· 3+ years of testing experience
Preferred qualifications (one or many of the below)
· Experience working with signal generators
· Experience with test within radio communication
· Ericsson product knowledge
