Tester for Steering Actuators

Tester for Steering Actuators

Arbetsbeskrivning

Scania is now undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses and engines to a supplier of complete and sustainable transport solutions.

Have you ever asked yourself the question how we will get safe autonomous vehicles and transports in the future? Can you see yourself giving up the control of your vehicle, relax and let the vehicle take care of your journey? If you have, then this tester position is the most exciting role for you!

The awesome team you will join

“If I was financially independent I would still work at Scania and within steering controls since it is very fulfilling feeling to develop new functions together with my colleagues for our customer and as soon as the function is done be able to go out in the truck test the function and get the expected response.” – Team member

We are a team of 10 in different roles and our mission is to develop actuators for steering to help the customers. In the future this will make it possible for a robot to steer our vehicles. At the moment we are developing the first generation of steering actuator for autonomy and are already starting to look at the second generation.

To succeed in this we embrace diversity and equal opportunity in a serious way. Our group are committed to build a team that represents a variety of backgrounds, perspectives, and skills. As manager for the team I strongly believe in a good work/life balance and professional development.

The cool tasks you get to do

Autonomy is new area for us and we see the need to strengthen up with one more tester. For this we need a person with strong test competence to be able to test these new actuators on bench, in HIL-rigs and in vehicles. You will plan, develop and execute tests on a System test level, where experience of programming in Python and C can come in handy. Together with colleagues, you will systemise, writing test code, run the code in emulated environment and document the results. Focus will be to develop and automate regression tests together with testing in vehicles. Therefore, you will be able to take driving license for truck as a part of your job.

A person that enjoys an inventive work environment with a high degree of freedom. You are a natural team player who shares your findings and mistakes with colleagues since you are working together towards a common goal. • Experience of testing embedded systems
• University degree in mechatronics, computer science, electronics, machine technology or an equivalent/neighbouring area.
