What’s in it for you?
Electrical Systems Integration & Development (94900) within the unit Vehicle Software & Electronics (94000) is responsible for integration of the complete electrical system in VCC vehicle programs and the electrical development process. In Electrical Systems Integration, we plan and track functional implementation and we lead integration activities to secure software releases to verification in vehicle programs and to running production. The department consists of Integration Leaders, Software Configuration Managers, Test Engineers, Advanced Fault Tracers and HIL Engineers. We run program management and we offer MIL, HIL and Boxcar rigs for the complete electrical system.
SW&E System Test (94913) is a group within Electrical Integration (94910) responsible for testing of customer functions and system behavior on a high system level as well as system analysis of complex problems during integration events prior to SW releases. We are in an expansive and focused area and there is a great opportunity to affect the direction the development of responsibilities and methods.

What you’ll do
As a Test Engineer, you will work with testing of the complete electrical system of our new electrical platform to secure function and a robust system. Working as Test Engineer on the complete electrical system means that you will establish and develop relationships with designers and test engineers within different system areas of the complete vehicle as well as building an understanding of the complete electrical system. We develop and use automated tests, but the main test environment is complete car. This means that the role requires a lot of driving on roads and test tracks, so a genuine car passion is important.  

You will be responsible for:
• Complete electrical systems verification to confirm usage and maturity for SW releases
• System tests and troubleshooting on all electrical systems
• Fault tracing support during Integration Events
• Report test results to projects and the organization

Do you fit the profile?
We believe you have at least a B.Sc or several years of work experience in relevant field. You have experience from working with system testing and it is positive if you have good knowledge of automated regression testing.
You will test the cars’ electrical features, both in the actual car and in rigs. You have a driver’s license B and are fluent in English, written and spoken.
It is meritorious if you have vehicle knowledge on a complete vehicle level, good general knowledge of CAN, Flexray and Ethernet as well as SW testing and testing tools. Experience from distributed SW systems, signal configuration, communication, diagnostics and software download will also be a benefit, as well as experience from CANalyzer, CANoe and Volvo Diagnostic tools.
Since you will be working in a team, you are a team player with excellent communication skills. You are organized and structured in you daily work and like to work with your hands.
Your attitude is positive and resolute and you have a great drive for reaching results.
