For our research center in Västerås, Sweden we are looking for a Testing Specialist with experience in High-Voltage and High-Power Electronics testing. You will join our team to make experiments on technology for future generations of HV power systems. You will work in dynamic, motivated, and creative teams with a wide range of experience and competence, and with access to highly advanced laboratory facilities.
Your responsibilities
Build electrical experimental set-ups, conduct tests, and analyze test results
Develop and validate power electronics technologies for various R&D projects
Effectively communicate with colleagues, customers, suppliers, and other external partners
Document results in the form of technical reports, presentations etc.
Connect with other technical areas and work in cross-competence teams, to solve research questions for future energy systems
Supervision of control and measurement equipment
Take responsibility over development and maintenance of laboratory infrastructure
Your background
Background in laboratory work with high power electrical testing and/or power electronics testing
Work-life experience in suitable areas such as high-power electronics, for example FACTS and HVDC applications
Experience with test planning, safety, and risk assessment, conducting and analysis of experiments
Ability to solve various electrical problems, both independently and in groups
Sound analytical and collaboration skills
Good communication skills in both Swedish and English are must, both written and spoken
Potential and interest to work in wider technical areas related to Power electronics, as for example: high voltage, sensor and sensing technology, thermal management, energy storage systems, Multiphysics integration
