As a student ambassador, you present the science subjects at fairs, information days and in social media to prospective students. The candidates we are looking for are studying a program with us and are aiming for a science degree at the University of Gothenburg.
Job Tasks
As a student ambassador, you have an important role in the recruitment of prospective international students and introducing them to the Faculty of Science at the University of Gothenburg. Your work will mainly include informing about our courses and programs within science, mathematics and conservation. As an ambassador you will share your own experience as an international student in Sweden. Most recruitment activities will take place online through for example digital fairs. You might also participate in planning and running activities to help make current students at the faculty feel more welcome and as part of the community. The international ambassadors run our international Instagram profile, which includes posting and creating content suitable for prospective science students.
Qualifications
You have to be an active student in a science program and have studied at least one semester at the Faculty of Science. Furthermore, it is important that you are outgoing and comfortable talking to people and being visible on the web, in film clips and on social media. You are an organised person and can convey information in a clear way. You enjoy sharing your experiences as an international student.
Employment
The employment is an intermittent employment until 2023-09-30. The number of hours varies depending on need. Mostly, we need help during the major recruitment periods in October-December and March- April. Placement at the Faculty Office of Science. Start date will be agreed upon individually.
Remuneration of SEK 130 per hour plus holiday pay.
In addition to the compensation, you also get work experience, which is an advantage for future employment. You will also receive a certificate from us for the work you have done.
