Description of thesis
Modern aviation industry has high demands for configuration management of software, additionally processes for verification and testing takes a long time. As of today, development and verification is somewhat limited/restricted for flight-critical systems by possibilities in current processes and tool set.
The goal of the thesis is to improve process and tool usage within an industry with high demands on safety and verification, where the balance between usability and requirements is in focus.
User experience as well as access to the environment will be available during the full period of the thesis
The proposed thesis is divided into four parts:
* Collection of current status with focus on process and required output/deliverables
* Summarize desired best case situation in terms of flexibility and at the same time generate required output during different life cycle phases
* Proposal of changes that provide ways to improve
* Test implementation of proposed changes
Who you are today
We believe this project will fit anyone interested in configuration handling and software development, you want to contribute to the many challenges avionics software entail. You shall perform a master's thesis (30 credits) as you are ending your engineering or master's degree. Knowledge within project management, development of large systems, and IBM DOORS are all beneficial but not required.
