Background of thesis project
Traditional marine engines use passive engine suspensions typically made of rubber cushions or metallic springs. Volvo Penta want to investigate the possibilities for active engine and driveline suspension for improving the overall boat experience.
Suitable background
You should possess these qualifications:
BSc/MSc student in any of the following fields
Design and Product development
Mechanical Engineering
Equivalent
Knowledge in 3D CAD software
Material science
Your application should include the following:

Description of thesis work:
Investigate the potential of implementing active suspension into the marine driveline.
Pre-study of different type of suspensions.
Develop concepts how it can be implemented in marine driveline.
3D-vizuliaztion of concept/s.
