Thesis work - Implications of extreme ambient conditions for Battery Electric Vehicles

What
The goal of the thesis project is to investigate and determine what implications extreme ambient conditions have for Battery Electric Vehicles, and why the vehicle is operating in such a way.

How 
* First step is to understand the knowledge gap and the nature of Battery Electric Vehicle operation
* Define conditions to test and set up a test plan for collecting valid results
* Perform testing and analyze data
* Investigate causes to why the vehicle is operating as results indicate
* Research existing studies and compare results
* Written report

The thesis work is preferably performed by a team of two persons. Suitable candidates are B.Sc. and M.Sc. students within mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering or nearby fields with an interest in powertrain development. You have practical skills and are driven and results oriented and fluent in Swedish and English.
