Job description
Unraveling the potential for inhaled protein therapeutics to aggregate locally in the lung

Student location: On Site, Gothenburg Sweden
Aggregation of particles in the lung is one of the potential challenges in the development of inhaled medicines. There are no established biorelevant in vitro setups to evaluate the aggregation and identify formulations with optimal properties. The aim of the master student´s project is to develop an experimental setup to visualize and measure aggregates using microscopic methods.
The master students project will be based in the PT&D (Pharmaceutical Technology & Development) Department at AstraZeneca.

Responsibilities
The role will be laboratory-based and research-focused. The student will be responsible to work according to good laboratory standards.
Qualifications
Major interest in scientific reading and implementing research ideas into daily work (innovative thinking)
Major interest in experimental work (e.g. particle size measurements, Next Generation Impactor analysis, microscopy)
Currently pursuing a Master´s degree in pharmacy, biomedicine, biotechnology or related.
