Three PhD Student positions in Mobile Systems

The Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering has an opening for three PhD Student positions in Mobile Systems.The positions are located at the division of Mobile Networking and Computing at LTU Skellefteå.

The research in the area of Mobile Systems focuses on services, applications and network solutions in mobile environments.As a research group we target new services enabled by mobility as well as new areas for existing applications.We also look at requirements and solutions to enable scalable, mobile and adaptable applications based on the context and environment.Mobile networking involves studies and creation of networking solutions to enable mobility of services and applications in available networking infrastructures.

Position 1: ref.no: 1408-08
The focus for this position will be on network infrastructure support for mobile systems.

Position 2 ref.no: 1409-08
The focus for this position will be on mobile applications and mobile services.

Position 3: ref.no: 1410-08
The focus for this position will be on security solutions for mobile systems.

Qualifications
The PhD candidate should have at least 240 credits of which 60 credits on an advanced level within computer science, computer networking, media technology or equivalent for the position.The candidate should also be excellent in written and oral communication in Swedish or in English.

Since the PhD student positions include teaching activities up to 20%, pedagogic qualifications are favourable and should be mentioned in the application.To take full advantage of a research group containing both men and women we appreciate female applicants.
