TitanX Engine Cooling is hiring a CFD Engineer
TitanX Engine Cooling is a global supplier of commercial vehicle engine and transmission cooling solutions to OEMs and the independent aftermarket. POSITION SUMMARY:
The CFD Engineer is part of the Advanced Engineering (AE) department, within the R&D organization at Group level. His/her work is to conduct CFD analyses and manage TitanX CFD resources, internal and external, and where appropriate to perform hand-calculations or manage tests to support the CFD simulations of heat-exchangers and cooling modules.
The CFD Engineer continuously improves TitanX flow simulation methods, including creating and maintaining method documents. When improvements are needed for a given method, the work will be performed as a project for which the CFD Engineer will act as lead investigator, in parallel to regular customer application engineering project work and support.
The CFD Engineer is expected to propose and validate solutions to the problems, whether they are linked to a product’s design, a test method or bench, the analysis process itself or IT aspects linked to it.
Besides project-related activities, the CFD Engineer performs generic department activities such as continuous improvement, benchmarking, technology-watch and training in his/her fields of competence, in particular when new methods are being introduced in the standard toolbox.
REQUIREMENT PROFILE:
- Minimum Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at university or engineering school with focus on mechanical engineering and in particular Fluid Dynamics
- 5 years practical experience in automotive internal flow analysis, measurement, testing and simulations
- Proven CFD software skills, especially Fluent or similar (StarCCM, CFX), including pre/post, automation and HPC
- Presentation and report skills in MS Office
- Competence in project management
- Can fluently communicate in English, both in speech and in written.
Knowledge in especially design, thermodynamics, heat-transfer and structural strength
Proven computer skills, especially CAD, CATIA V5 and MS Office
Communicates fluently in English, both in speech and in writing. Swedish and/ or German are a plus
The position is based at our site in Mjällby, Sweden. Swedish or European working permit is an advantage. We also encourage and welcome female candidates.
