About the Unit
Yara Business Unit Nordics covers Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the Baltic countries Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The core markets of the Nordic region are mature markets where Yara has very strong position and has been developing the role of market leadership with our YaraBela, YaraMila, YaraLiva and YaraVita products. Total yearly sales revenue in the region is more than 1 billion EUR. Yara products are well positioned among farmers. The region has a clear target to further deepen the end user communication and to position Yara strongly in the whole value chain of the next generation agriculture.
Yara has a strong and leading market position in Sweden with a sophisticated business model. Our farmer centric solutions are based on research and knowledge and include digital tools and other farming for the future products and solutions. We work in close collaboration with our distributor and food chain partners.
Responsibilities
We are now looking for a Commercial Director for Sweden.
The Commercial Director is the most senior position in Yara Sweden and in this role you will be responsible for sales, marketing, agronomy and daily operations.
What will you be working with?
- Lead the Swedish Management Team to develop and execute the strategy of Yara in the market.
- Lead the local Yara sales, marketing and agronomy team and having full responsibility for sales, volume development, market positioning and profitability in Sweden. This is done together with key account managers and you will be supported by regional and local marketing and agronomy teams.
- Implement the identified commercial strategy with a strong focus both on the farmer and the crop/yield as well as maintain and develop an aligned base of distributors and value chain partners.
- Contribute to Yara’s scale and excellence through active participation in achieving regional and global synergies between markets.
- Lead by example at all times as set forth in the Code of Conduct. Uphold, safeguard and promote organizational culture, values and reputation among customers, suppliers, partners, employees as well as the wider society.
- Represent the company with authorities, customers, suppliers, and media. Build further and develop good co-operation between Yara and key stakeholders in Sweden.
- Enhance company performance, ensure active use of Yara’s people management process as well as promote equality and diversity as part of the culture of the organization.
Profile
You have a degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Agronomy or other relevant field for this position. You bring a minimum of 10 years of experience from a senior manager position as well as from a relevant business. You have a strong link to agribusiness and a track record of delivering good commercial results. As we work in an international setting you need to be fluent in English and Swedish, written as well as spoken. You have a good understanding of utilizing Office products and CRM systems to drive the business. Your are an experienced leader and if you have experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in a matrix environment this would be beneficial for this role.

Additional Information
The position is based in Malmö, Sweden, and some traveling will occur. You will report to SVP Business Unit Nordics.
