You will
As the Tolling Engineer, you will support Nouryon' s growth through setting up and assess new tollers (contract manufacturers), coordinate technical support and see to the completion of major process improvement projects of our tolling operations. Activities in our tolling operation includes process analysis, project implementation, design, development, and support to tollers in the daily operations. A key deliverable in this role will be project management on new tollers, and the maintenance of process know how (documentation) with a focus on continuous improvement of the supported processes from both a technology and cost standpoint.
Other tasks and responsibilities will be to:
- Identify the need for and coordinate training of personnel, engineers, operators etc. at tollers, in equipment and/or process changes and provide technical support when necessary
- Manage all aspects of major project work associated with tolling operations including new toller qualification & set up
- Manage the technology transfer and support for tolling operations
- Be focal point, coordinate and participate in process design and start up activities as required to support tolling operations
- Assess and maintain proper compliance with HSE & quality standards set up for tolling operations
You will report to Global Tolling Manager and interface with Regional Tolling Manager EMEA, Production, Maintenance, R&D and Engineering / Technology departments, contractors and toll manufacturers. You are expected to travel up to 35% of your working time.

We see that you have a B.S. Chemical Engineering or related technology degree, and MBA or Lean Six Sigma is a plus. You should have 3+ years in project and/or process experience in plant environment and knowledge of chemical plant production. This role will also require good IT competence/experience regarding standard office software and SAP (Production Planning, Quality Modules). Furthermore, you have knowledge of Statistical Process Control method and tools. You need to be fluent in written and spoken English.
