OMX is a leading expert in the exchange industry.OMX is listed on the Nordic Exchange in Stockholm, Helsinki and Copenhagen.For more information, please visit www.omxgroup.com As Tool Manager you will take on responsibility for all development and test tools used primary within the business unit Development, but also for other development teams within OMX.An important objective is to reduce the number of tools used within OMX by standardizing on one platform.This platform will be based on the IDP concept (Integrated Development Platform).IDP is based on Caliber RM for Requirement Management and Team Foundation Server for Configuration Management.Delivered by Borland and Microsoft. The job includes: - Overall responsibility for the development and test tools used within OMX.- Specific in-depth responsibility for the IDP platform with focus on integration.- Cooperation with other specific tool owners, which is appointed for each specific tool.- Planning and management of roll out of IDP in the, with a 1-3 year perspective.This includes introduction of IDP in new product areas as well as introduction of new features based on maturity level.- Vendor relations on an overall level as well as in depth for IDP.- Planning of product upgrades related to IDP.- Establishment of an operation and support organization for IDP.- Planning of training and mentorship for IDP and other tools.- Evaluation and decision on other tools to be included in the IDP, in the future.- Dialogue with customers that use any of the tools, for instance our test tools. You will be the tool visionary within OMX.This role combines the three areas people, processes and tools.It is a challenging task to implement the concept in a controlled manner over the next years.You will be working with cutting edge technology and tools.You will have the task and authority to decide on which tools to be used for different areas in cooperation with the different tool owners.Qualifications: - University degree within computer science or engineering.- At least 5 years work experience from software engineering in large projects and organizations.- Good language skills in written and spoken English.- Proven track record from working with the implementation of platforms similar to the IDP concept including requirement-, design and Configuration Management tools.- Experience from working with UML is considered a merit. To suit this position you have proven track record from leadership for change.You have a drive for change, new technologies and tools as well as a genuine interest in people and processes. You will be a member of the Quality team of Development, to ensure that the tools support our processes.You will also be working closely to the NextGen team (R&D) that is the first project implementing IDP.This is a permanent full time position located in Stockholm.Desired start date is as soon as possible.
