At Heart Aerospace we develop the ES-30, a regional electric airplane with a capacity of 30 passengers driven by electric motors with battery derived energy. The ES-30 is expected to enter into service in 2028.

Role Overview
Heart Aerospace is in an expansive phase and are now looking for a specialist in tools and methods for efficient product development. You will work in the engineering methods & tools section, reporting to the Head of Central Engineering Functions & Integration.
You will be part of the development and evolvement of the Heart Aerospace development process and the supporting tool ecosystem. You will work with developing methods and models for configuration control, systems engineering practice, detailed design work, and contribute to the establishment of a company-wide development philosophy. This includes establishing minimum & best practices and formalizing them in guidelines and training material. As a result, you will actively shape and develop the Heart Aerospace way of developing the most sustainable aircraft.
Your daily tasks will be to collect needs on the engineering tools and methods from the organization by talking to the users. You will synthesize the needs and propose solutions in terms of tools and methods. You will practically implement and customize tools like a PLM system to support the user's needs.
Qualifications & Experience

BSc degree in Engineering, Data Science, or other comparable

5 years experience in product development

Knowledge of Systems Engineering practices (preferably aerospace, but ISO standards with strong background of safety critical & functional based approaches is acceptable)

Experience with use and implementation of product lifecycle management tools

Experience with information modeling (e.g. UML, SysML)

Knowledge of requirements based engineering processes

Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD), preferably CATIA V5

Passionate about technology

Communicative, in terms of listening to other people and reflect on what they say as well as being able to convey complex things in simple ways

Excellent verbal & written communication skills in English

Eagerness to work with others

Passion for aircraft and Heart’s mission
The ideal candidate would have

Experience with configuration control, including change management
