Tour guide

Are you looking for a new adventure where you can combine having fun, discovering the amazing landscape of Northern Sweden and meeting people from all around the world? Then you might be the right person for us as we are looking for a tour guide who is willing to work with us during the winter months from November 2020- April 2021. The job will involve guiding a group of guests in Swedish Lapland, explaining the activities at our destination, giving information about the different places you are exploring, giving the group the best time of their lives.


WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for someone who possesses the following qualifications and skills
● You have at least a High school diploma
● Fluent in English; Knowing Italian, German or another European language is a bonus
● It is a bonus if you are currently residing in sweden
● Some guiding experience is prioritized;
● Passionate with a willingness to learn or knowledgeable about the Swedish nature and culture;
● Able to work late nights and long hours;
● Flexible and able to work weekends and public holidays;
● Comfortable in handling groups up to 40 people;
● Able to work with and entertain people from different cultures as our guests are from all over the world


WHAT WE OFFER
You will work in a young company and in one of the most amazing landscapes during the peak season for a specified duration during the months of November 2020-March 2021.
You will be staying in a cozy cabin in an arctic campsite for the whole duration of a trip (4-6 days) but your work will include only some hours per day. After that it is very important for us that you socialize with the group to create a good atmosphere and group dimension. You would be paid per trip, according to a predefined schedule for the month. Food and other basic necessities will be provided.
Being a tour guide in the Arctic is an interesting job that varies from day to day, carries a lot of fun and can sometimes also be really demanding. It will give you a lot of experience in working with people from all over the world as our clients come from different parts of the world, talking in front of big groups and the organization of a group. It might give you the chance to practice your language skills in various languages and the advantages of working in a small interdisciplinary team like ours will be that you gain a lot of knowledge in fields that are not completely related to your job.
Note that this is not a full-time or part-time position, but it is seasonal work. Depending on the performance during the probationary period, a part-time position may be offered.
