IKEA of Sweden is looking for TQE Managers and Senior Technicians
The core of IKEA is our product range, characterized by the IKEA concept of democratic design - the notion that beautiful form and practical function should go hand in hand at an affordable price. IKEA of Sweden, or IoS, is in charge of product development. It comprises a number of Business Areas, each of which is a business of its own and deals with a specific product segment.
The TQE department (Techniques, Quality and Environment) consists of several divisions and leads the development of new materials, techniques and advanced design engineering of products. It will achieve better customer experienced product quality including good and healthy products. Besides that, the department is responsible for safety alarms and notification to authorities.
TQE Manager
As a TQE Manager you will lead and coordinate the technical part of the product development process within your business area. You'll have strong leadership skills and are HR responsible for the product technicians and the Quality and Environment coordinators. You'll have plenty of contact with colleagues in the entire IKEA production pipeline, cooperate with other TQE-managers, represent the BA in the Safety Risk Group and report to the Business Area Manager/ Supply Chain Manager.
Requirements
You are an experienced leader, with at least 5 years management experience. If you have experience with change management, that will be an advantage. A technical background is important and you need a problem-solving approach and good decision-making abilities. You have good communicative skills and are able to communicate clear goals and are motivated to follow up them. Furthermore you have an overall perspective, are business driven and are a good team worker. Understanding of suppliers' daily life is important and a sound knowledge of English, both verbal and written as well.
Senior Technician
As a Senior Technician you'll be responsible for the technical aspects of the product, the description of product requirements and the technical documentation. You'll be dealing with quality assurance, monitoring and analyzing the quality situations of existing products and, if necessary, initiation of corrective actions. You develop new technical solutions and are updated on new materials and techniques. Spreading knowledge to other IKEA companies, coaching other technicians and lead projects are other vital parts of your daily tasks.

Requirements:
You have a technical education and solid working life experience in the area of techniques, materials product quality, environment and health. Besides that, you have good competences in construction, materials, requirements and documentation. You have good communicative skills, are structured, have a problem-solving approach and are able to think innovative. Flexibility and business drive are also important for this job. Your knowledge of English, both verbal and written is good.
