The transformation towards sustainable green mobility drives demand for railway capacity, take this opportunity to join us as a Traction Architecture & Bids Manager and you’ll be looking at a technical leading role based in Västerås, Sweden.
Purpose of the Job
Lead and manage a team of direct reporting senior engineers. The team consists of traction system architects and bid engineers.
The role of the team is to define the traction and auxiliary systems both within customer contracts while also developing tomorrows system solutions to be used worldwide.
The role is expected to both handle the team as well as driving the development and the platform via new methods and standardization.
The team is central and vital for entire the traction system development and the deliveries has to be on time and to the highest standards.
Your responsibilities for the team include:
• Defining the architecture of the traction platform. Leveraging the platform.
• Technically prepare bids for customers globally, providing competitive solutions and platform approach.
• Driving the technical platform development with the team.
• Driving continuous improvement, technical innovations and adapting to new market conditions.
• Efficient collaboration with global stakeholders in the company.
• Providing leadership and maintain close contact with the direct reports.
• Responsibility for management and development of relevant skills.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in engineering, such as Electrical Engineering, Technical Physics or equivalent
• Work experience from electrical traction systems or similar fields
• Work experience from railway systems
• Cross functional knowledge from control functionality to power converter engineering
• Experience in leading teams and/or projects
• Experience from international complex projects
• Experience from modularization and standardization is an advantage
• Experience from safety critical applications and/or EN50126/28/29 (or other related standards such as ISO26262, IEC61508 etc) is beneficial
• Fluency in Swedish and English at a business level is essential for the job
