The Electric Driveline Department is part of the Vehicle Propulsion unit. The Electric Drive Agile Release Train (EDHW ART) deliver products with high quality and with a clear ownership, as part of the Department and the Electric Propulsion Product Stream. The EDHW ART develops Electric Drives system/components including El Machines and Inverters highly integrated into our Electric Vehicle Architectures. The Inverter Design team is a new product team, and a central part of the Electric Drive Agile Release Train, in which we build up our engineering ability to design inverter technology. For the Test and analysis position, we are looking for a person who has solid professional experience within power electronics HW development, preferably from test and verification.   

As a test and analysis engineer in the Inverter Design team you will be a central part of our power electronics development team for the Electric Driveline ensuring built in quality. Your particular focus will be on the test and verification of the inverter. This will include analysing test need, writing test specifications, contributing to our test environment build up, performing and documenting tests in our advanced HV testing lab and other relevant test environments to ensure our design fulfil our quality, performance and other attribute requirements. You will also be analysing faults and problem reports, discussing and reviewing electronics design as well as proposing solutions to problems together with our design engineers. You will also review our system requirements together with our system engineers from a verification point of view as well as continuously improving our test methods to improve both coverage and higher degree of automation.

Who are You
You have
* University degree within Electrical engineering /Power Electronics/systems engineering.
* Substantial industrial experience in power electronics testing / verification, preferably from Automotive applications.
* Understanding of complex product development process, working methods and project execution.
* High ability and a strong will to continuously learn and develop your skillset in Electric Drives technology/development.

You are
* Very comfortable to cooperate and communicate with people, both within the organization and with engineering partners.
* Great with oral, written and visual communication and presentation in English.
* Business oriented, flexible and performance driven with the courage to take decisions and be accountable.
* Team player who likes to collaborate with your colleagues and contribute to a good team spirit.
* Experience and training in Scrum/Agile/Scaled Agile work practices is a merit as Volvo Cars has transformed into Agile way of working.


You take responsibility also outside your own area. You contribute to team competence building.
