TRACTION TEST ENGINEER / TECHNICIAN

Join us as a Traction Test Engineer/Technician, in Vasteras, Sweden.

Purpose of the Job/Objective


The transformation towards sustainable mobility drives demand for railway capacity, and it is vital for us to verify all out products. In our combined power test bench in Västerås we test full electric drivelines for train all over the world.

The power test bench is located in our laboratory.

Your role is to be a part of this world class lab, ensuring we can verify our products efficiently. You will be working in a laboratory environment, setting up and installing test objects such as converters, motors and components.

You will support in testing activities and with the long-term development of the laboratory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND CHALLENGES


Responsible for:
• Participating in the realization of the Validation Plan.
• Preparing the tests, she/he is responsible for:
o Participating in the design and the development of the tools necessary for performing the tests (Benches, model…).
o Implementing, verifying (functional), and ensuring compliance (calibration) of the measuring equipment to be ready at the time of the test.
o Preparing the equipment for testing. Validating that the applied configuration and pre-requisite testing allows the testing to proceed.
• Respecting EHS rules notably implementing “LockOut-TagOut” instruction.
• Supervising and/or executing test activities, analysing test results “live” and deciding if test has to be redone or not.
• REX capitalisation, in accordance with the Skill Leader process.
• Appling ALSTOM CV process.

Contributor to:
• Participate in the Tuning phase with Design Team
• Participate to the Bench recipe
• Support Test Method Team on Routine Test Benches


KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
• Test setup, installation and partial execution capability on some of the following domains:
o Traction Systems
o Converters
o Parts
o Measurement (Tools and processes)
• General Knowledge
o IT Tools.
o English Language (B2 mini).
