You will interact with Marketing and external trademark attorneys throughout the world on a daily basis and perform a variety of different tasks. Placement preferably in Stockholm.
About the position
Coordinatation of trademark and domain name portfolios
Coordination of brand protection: counterfeited products, opposing infringing third party registrations and online infringements.
Filing and prosecution of trademark and domain name registrations applications
Assist, guide and train Marketing department in trademark related issues
You will coordinate the trademark and domain name portfolios including research the availability of marks by accessing available databases or utilizing outside search firms; prepare appropriate applications and other registration documents; collect the necessary deposit materials and fees; research infringements; create and implement proper trademark use programs; and be a vital team member in litigation, discovery and trial preparation.
An important part of the responsibility is also to coordinate and monitor brand infringement, including counterfeited products, opposing infringing third party registrations and online brand infringements. As you will be the link between marketing you will continuously assist, guide and train Marketing department in trademark related issues.
You must be organized, able to prioritize, pay attention to detail and know how to meet deadlines. He or she will follow trademark law developments and changes, and use judgment based on this knowledge. The trademark paralegal specialist is an invaluable asset to a trademark and IP team and the position provides a great opportunity for hands-on experience.
Your Qualification
Preferably university degree in Marketing and/or Law
Good English skills: both writing and speaking
Experience in coordination of trademark/domain portfolio
Experience in Brand protection, e.g. online brand infringements and/or counterfeits
