We are looking for a junior trader with an interest and mind for trading and numbers. Analytical thinking and some interest in football are important traits in the candidate we are looking for. Today’s betting markets have many similarities to stock exchanges – and Stormtech is at the forefront of these markets developing algorithmic trading strategies to trade sporting events live as they are happening with a focus on football. You as a trader will be responsible for supporting our highly automated systems with risk management if needed and monitoring price movements in the market when the matches are being played. You will use your analytical ability to detect recurring patterns and behaviors in matches when we either want to take on more risk or avoid risk. You will work in close cooperation with developers and quants when we then try to substantiate theories and in the next step arrive at strategies that can be tested in the test environment. In the event of a positive outcome, we might use it in the actual trading. We believe that you have some basic technical knowledge about computers and have studied some quantitative subject at university. Stress resistance, quick thinking, flexibility and a good work ethic are some traits you will likely possess. Since we trade football matches live, work is often concentrated to evenings and weekends when most games are played. For us current traders who like football, risk and trading, this is as much a hobby as a job. We hope you will feel the same!
