Trading Surveillance Part-time Analyst


Surveillance within Nasdaq works to keep our markets fair and efficient by implementing and upholding effective and well balanced regulation and fairly enforcing our rules. We are at the core of the market places and we interact with issuers, trading participants, investors and regulators to build and preserve confidence in our markets. We participate in forming regulation and practices and we make important decisions to protect investors and to uphold orderly trading.
The Trading Surveillance part-time analyst will be a part of our Trading Surveillance team in Stockholm. We work closely together with our surveillance and compliance teams in Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway. The team performs real-time and post-trade analysis of trading in all asset classes across the Nordic market places that Nasdaq operates.


Responsibilities:


Perform real-time and continuous analysis of price movements, trading volumes, trading patterns and news around listed products.
Identify suspected market abuse and other forms of breaches of rules.
Uphold orderly trading and intervene in trading when necessary and when necessary, required to assist in decisions on e.g. trading suspensions or trade cancellations.
Help market participants avoid ending up in problematic situations by providing guidance to members and others regarding our practices in different contexts and how to comply with exchange regulation.


Education, Professional accomplishments, and Certifications:


Education Required: Student in Economics and Finance with at least 2 years left to graduation.
Basic understanding of trading and investments.
Mathematical or statistical skills and experience of handling/analyzing large quantities of data is an advantage.
Excellent language skill Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
