Join us as a Train to Ground Lead Engineer (m/f/d) and you’ll be looking at a career-defining role based in Västerås.
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As a Train to Ground Lead Engineer you will perform software validation assignments requiring initiative, resourcefulness and design experience.
As a lead engineer, you will apply the principles of software engineering to the design, development, maintenance, testing, and evaluation of software and systems to fulfil the stakeholder requirements.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Assemble software and/or hardware items through all levels up to form a complete subsystem (e.g. TCMS Platform Architecture or TCMS user application software), according to the architectural and design specifications.
Establish and maintain the integrity of work products using configuration identification, control and status accounting.
Examine and judge whether the output of a specific development phase fulfils the respective requirements.
Carry out requirements engineering and controlling change and support the communication with the relevant stakeholders.
Preparing documentation during the project development.
Providing regular updates and status on TCMS, Condition Monitoring, Cyber Security and software interfaces to subsystems and external software interfaces on the vehicle.
Developing a locally based competent team to support software engineering on BT rail projects.
Leading a Team of TCMS and software integration engineers to set-up the Long Term Service Support (LTSS) and Local Maintenance Presence Framework (LMPF), including Condition Monitoring, Cyber Security, software interfaces to PIES, Signaling, Communications, Operator Control Centre and diagnostics.
Co-team with global TCMS, Condition Monitoring and Cyber Security in order to implement best practices in the project development.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Fluent in English, Swedish is an asset.
Bachelor or Master degree in engineering, computer science, information technology, electronics or electronics and communication.
Senior working experience in software engineering, application development, diagnostics for rail vehicle or middle working experience with Master degree.
Wi-Fi solutions knowledge.
Data communication networks knowledge.
Strong knowledge of Software Configuration Management and Cyber Security.
Excellent knowledge of control systems design, testing and troubleshooting in automotive including off-high-way vehicles/rail/avionics domain.
Experience in managing customer and internal stakeholder expectations.
Experience in leading a development team.
