Trainee Johnson & Johnson, Consumer R&D Helsingborg
For three years we have been part of a Research and Development Leadership Development Program (RDLDP) together with other R&D sites across our Europe, Middle East and Africa region. This three-year graduate trainee program helps fuel our pipeline of future technical leaders and provides a unique opportunity for the participants to gain broad experience in global pharmaceutical development.
We are now looking to recruit two new high potential colleagues to the program starting in September 2021.
Objectives of the Position
In this program you will gain continued professional development using internal Johnson & Johnson programs and selected external courses. You will also participate in training where you will learn new leadership and technical skills and you will get an opportunity to apply this business knowledge in an environment that includes launching new products and lifecycle management of existing products. This is an exciting opportunity that will support your career within one of the world’s leading healthcare companies. In particular:
Participation in the RDLDP will ensure learning and contribution experience in all relevant R&D functions: Analytical Development, Product Design, Regulatory Affairs, R&D Franchise, Clinical Operations/Science and Quality Assurance. It will also provide insight into additional supporting functions such as: Patent, Consumer Insight, Finance and Marketing.
The program lasts for three years and consists of three, one-year rotations within the main research functions mentioned above.
In addition to on-the-job-training provided through the rotations, we offer a support program that helps develop you as a future technical leader in the organization. Some parts are run together with the other RDLDP participants through bi-annual immersion weeks at the various regional sites.
One element of the program focuses on participation in various company culture promoting activities where you will participate in teams focusing on the work environment.
After completion of the program, you will have gained a good overview of development of non-prescription medicines and a deep understanding of how a global R&D organization works and delivers new innovative solutions to the market.
Qualifications
Graduated within the last two years with a Master's or PhD degree in one of the following scientific disciplines:
Biology
Chemistry
Life Science (e.g. Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Bio-medical Science)
Pharmacy
Engineering relevant to Natural Sciences
What you will need to succeed
To be successful in this R&D leadership development program you would need to be eager to learn new things, good at problem solving and critical thinking. Being agile and resilient, good at communicating, presenting and negotiating are also key to success. Since we develop non-prescription medicines, being interested in understanding the consumer perspective and translate it into innovative solutions are important. Finally, if applying to this leader development program, you should be genuinely interested in leadership, either as a future leader of people, or as a technical expert in a leading role.
