Born in 2014 by Creative Director, Max Svärdh and CEO, Albin Johansson, Axel Arigato is a Sweden based contemporary brand that started from an Instagram page and an idea to break into the footwear market.
With deep roots in music, art, architecture and what is contemporary, Axel Arigato has defined itself by offering more than a product. It has been created to leave an experience at the front of mind, whether it’s via stores, online or through events.
Axel Arigato currently has 6 stores, including London, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Gothenburg with more pending. Expanding from 2 people to now hiring over 75 members of staff in 5 years, Axel Arigato also operates a subsidiary office in London.

At Axel Arigato, we have set out to "Create the present, Shape the future and Inspire generations". We are anticipating a 75% growth each year in the next four years, with new Retail Stores as well as new offices in Europe, China, and the U.S. To secure our Vision and this growth - we need the next generation of leaders to join the company and co-create our future.
We are therefore offering a 12-month paid full-time Trainee Program. Based at our Gothenburg HQ you will have the opportunity to work on live projects, develop your leadership skills and create meaningful connections. During the course of the 12 months, you will rotate between two or three of the following departments: Online, Production, Operations, Retail, Finance or Marketing. After these 12 months, the aim is for you to have acquired extensive knowledge about the organisation and industry, allowing you to excel together with us for many years. One could say that this is a way to jump-start a career.
If the pandemic allows - travelling and spending time in our stores in Copenhagen, Stockholm, London, and Paris is a requirement, as well as working for a period of time in another office. In addition to this - setting up new stores or an office somewhere in the world might be an example of what the "live projects" referred to above might mean. Please note that placement at a future office in China, Europe or the U.S. may be required and we hope that you view this as a plus.
This is an opportunity to work with some of the most passionate and inspiring colleagues in the business and be supported by line managers and HR. The CEO will be your mentor and you will be offered regular conversations to track your progress.
Who are you?
Our Trainee Program will require a lot from you, and you should not expect normal working hours. It will, however, offer a rare opportunity within the fashion industry. You will work in a fast-paced, fun, international environment and will make connections for life.
To be successful in this position you are attracted to the business side of the fashion industry, analytic and good with numbers. You are at the top of your class and longing for the chance to use your knowledge in the real world. You realize the importance of continuous improvements in both big and small and understand that change is always around the corner, but you’ll handle it with ease. You are resilient and get back up again after being knocked down and have a clear vision about what kind of leader you want to be in the future.
You are a new graduate with up to two years of working experience who is longing for a workplace guided by Diversity, Respect, Openness and Passion.
