Toyota Material Handling International AB is a global company responsible for marketing, sales and support of Toyota warehouse trucks on the international markets covering Asia, Latin America, Oceania, Middle East, and Africa. Our network consists of six Toyota companies and more than 70 independent distributors.
The markets of Toyota Material Handling International AB (TMHI) have potential for continued strong growth and we need to further develop our team to support our ambitions to strengthen our market position by recruiting a Training Manager.
As a Training Manager at Toyota Material Handling International AB, you will be responsible for the company's overall training portfolio. You will support Regional Sales, Service and Logistics Solutions (LS) Managers and our extensive Distributor network, on four continents, with high quality training tools enabling them to secure the position of Market Leader of Material Handling. Your area of responsibility also covers managing competence development for TMHI AB employees.
YOUR CHALLENGE
Your core responsibilities are to make sure that essential training tools are always up-to-date and are easy accessible to Regional Sales, Service and LS Managers for use in train-the-trainer sessions, this to enable Distributors to achieve/maintain a high level of warehouse knowledge in material handling, you will also plan coordinate and follow up on competence development of TMHI AB staff in Mjölby. This includes:
· Develop, update, adapt and maintain training materials regarding: Sales/Service/LS, products/models, model descriptions, applications/add-ons, options, etc.
· Develop and implement training plans in collaboration with Regional Sales/Service/LS Managers, Product Development Managers and Distributors.
· Execute sales trainings as well as product and application trainings covering the complete range of equipment.
· Conduct annual surveys on what types of training are in demand by the Distributors, to enable proactive planning of future training opportunities supported by appropriate training material.
· Conduct company competence inventory survey, identify gaps and drive employee competence development plan.
Service-orientation and multitasking comes natural to you as you have a great ability to steadily manage and prioritise different tasks and activities with a professional approach. You have a relevant academic background, bachelor or master's degree, and are used to work independently and cross functional as a good and reliable team player. While being flexible you have a structured approach to performing your tasks with a pro-active, result-oriented and driven mindset.
YOUR SKILLS
We believe you are a strong communicator with a good pedagogical orientation, teaching abilities and excellent English skills. You have no problem getting across to all kinds of people with humility, clarity, and ease whether verbally or in writing. You also have an awareness of the challenges that comes with operating in an international arena, which means you know how to successfully navigate cultural differences between markets, stakeholders and working methods. Experience of working towards deadlines is meritorious as well as previous work experience from similar role in a larger industrial organization in an international context.
