Business Area (BA) Wind plays a crucial role in delivering on the strategy of Vattenfall which is being fossil free in the next generation. BA Wind is the fastest growing business area in Vattenfall. We operate and build on- and offshore wind parks in the UK, Sweden, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark. In addition we are also building and operating solar parks and battery solutions in the five countries.
We are now looking for a Transaction Manager or Transaction Analyst in Business Unit (BU) Offshore Wind, Transaction Management Team
Your role
Working within a multi-disciplinary team to plan and execute high-value M&A transactions or joint venture partnerships in our offshore wind business.
Core responsibilities include (depending on seniority):
Assist the Senior/Lead Transaction Manager with all aspects of the deal process, including PMO responsibilities (project plan, budget, documentation management, etc.)
Develop and participate in the negotiation of joint venture, shareholders and service level agreements with potential partners
Draft governance/investment papers to senior management
Drive the collection of technical and commercial inputs from the wider Vattenfall organization
Lead or support the preparation of deal materials including information memoranda, management presentation and vendor business plan
Lead due diligence workstreams including managing the Q&A process
Develop project specific partnership strategies
Work on developing the team-, transaction processes- and Vattenfall’s offering ( e.g. contract standardization, modelling interface, information protocols, etc)
Qualifications
A positive, proactive approach to transactions with an ability to follow a process to conclusion
Demonstrates high level of enthusiasm and commitment to team goals under difficult or adverse situations; encourages others to respond similarly
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent commercial skills that allow identification and understanding of key value drivers, ensuring these are reflected in the transaction documentation
Effective communication skills with an ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders both internally and externally
Ideally have been working on transactions within renewable energy or other infrastructure sectors from working within a corporate or financial, legal or technical advisory service.
Experience and Qualifications
1-5 years’ experience (Corporate or Advisory)
Professional working proficiency level of English is required
Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Law or other relevant field of study required
