Description
You will be the primary person to lead and coordinate the activities required to decommission core legacy systems as part of the Opera Program. You will be the driver of the transformation, securing a tight coordination between the different Agile Release Trains and Agile Teams.
You will secure the Capabilities required to decommission are broken down to Features and Enablers and securing that a commitment can be received during planning from different Agile Release Trains a from teams not part of any of the Agile Release Trains.
The candidate will follow up on deliveries, coordinate and secure that tests are performed end-to-end and that future deployments are coordinated end-to-end.
You will work together with Opera program and the affected release trains and agile teams including IT- and business staff to define, align, agree and execute the required activities to successfully develop and implement the new systems in IT and business, and decommission the legacy systems.
You will be reporting to the Program Management Group on regular basis and your project level status will have to be presented to Steering group on Monthly basis.
Work tasks:
- Taking overall ownership for project management to succeed in the transformation of agreed systems.
- Work with the program manager for Opera to ensure that the decommission of systems above is done in line with the overall Opera plan.
- Collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to align the plans and to ensure the commitment of execution of agreed changes/deliveries, including preparations of decision material required.
- Ensure analysis and planning of transformation work (move from legacy to target solutions). Ensure that business analysis, solution architecture and quality assurance are done to execute the transformation.
- Ensure that there is a decommission roadmap defined with required changes to be implemented by assigned teams to enable the decommission of agreed systems including ensuring communication and planning with involved teams and services on activities to reach the objective.
- Ensure that the roadmaps have an agreed and committed timeline by the receiving teams, arts and services.
- Coordination is done between teams and services for required development and release planning together with the agile delivery.
- Ensure proper handover of changes to associated parties (suppliers, teams, service desc etc).
- Ensure that the epics and features are managed in terms of cost, time and effort in collaboration with the agile delivery.
- Reporting plans, status and progress to program manager and/or steering committee.
- Plan and request any required teams or resources to support in the execution of development of new systems in collaboration with program manager or line managers within the IT organization. Assist in establishing teams or assess resources when applicable.
- Go live planning for new functionalities together with business and IT. Ensure that go live is done with quality.
Mandatory competence and experience:
- Project management certification, Prince2 or equivalent.
- Certification in SAFE 4.6 or 5.0.
- Higher education within IT or equivalent knowledge gained by other means.
Preferred competence and experience:
- Experience in project management minimum 5 years
- Experience in large system development and application transformation projects in larger organisations.
- Experience in delivering projects through agile delivery organizations SAFE, Scrum or similar.
- Proven ability to independently capture & share information through formal written documentation in English and local language. Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English and local (Swedish or Danish) language.
- Excellent management, planning, communication, presentation and leadership skills.
- You have a technical understanding and experience enabling you make project decision and coordination well aligned with architectural and technical needs to drive the transformation efficiently.
