Translation Manager

As a Translation Project Manager at QQFS you will coordinate the workflow of our translation services from request to delivery and assure the highest quality throughout the entire service chain. In addition to the management of translation projects, this role will include procurement, cost control, invoice validation, and direct communication with clients and internal stakeholders.
 
Your specific duties will include the following:
·       Responsibility for the management and control of the freelancers on all translation work allocated to you, ensuring that QQFS achieves and exceeds client expectations
·       Scheduling resources for translation and proofreading
·       File preparation for translation i.e. proofreading using a CAT-tool
·       Maintenance of translation memories
·       Building and developing a network of experienced and reliable freelance linguists
·       Vetting process and rates negotiations
·       Setting up and maintaining linguists’ accounts in our supplier system
·       Responsible for the quality control of translations
·       Making sure client standards are met and deadlines are respected
·       Delivery of excellent client services
 
Qualifications:
·       Higher education in translation, linguistics, or communication  
·       Project management skills
·       Good knowledge of a CAT-tool, preferably SDL Trados
·       Familiarity with the translation industry
·       Ability to work independently
·       Strong multitasking and networking skills
·       Proficiency in English, since this is the official company language and all communication with clients is in English.
·       Ideally Swedish native speaker.
 
Highly desirable:
·       Proficiency in 2 to 3 European languages including Swedish.
·       Experience with Trados Studio is a plus
·       Previous experience in a similar role within the Translations field or previous experience as a translator. 
·       We are specialized into medical MR so any experience within this field is very much appreciated.

·       You will be eligible to participate in the quarterly bonus scheme upon completion of your probationary period. This will be paid quarterly once probation has been passed.
·       You will be entitled to all statutory benefits as required by Swedish law, plus 25 days’ annual leave plus public holidays, Pension scheme (4,5% employer contribution) and Group Life insurance, covering payments for Life insurance, loss of income if you are not able to work due to sickness (sjukförsäkring) and injury when working (Olycksfallsförsäkring).
