Translation project manager

Fluid Translation is a communications agency based in Sweden with a focus on translation in finance and law. Thanks to our unerring focus on quality, our client base is growing so we are looking for a part-time junior project manager to add to our in-house team. The right person is a native English speaker, has previous translation experience as well as an understanding of the language industry and is interested in project management.
Tasks for the junior project manager will include:
• Assisting in the daily operations
• Handling routine projects independently
• Researching new suppliers (such as translators)
• Maintaining client and supplier relationships
Furthermore, you will be maintaining our CAT tool resources, including translation memories and term bases. As you will also be responsible for QA processes, English needs to be your first language. You will work alongside and, when applicable, cover for the senior project manager.
To be successful in this role, you need to be an excellent communicator with good problem-solving skills and organizational abilities. We expect you to take initiative and work independently.
You need to be CAT tool-savvy and have an excellent knowledge of both spoken and written Swedish and English.
This is a junior position and previous experience of project management is valuable but not a prerequisite.
Please provide references of your work as a translator into English. A degree or certification in translation and/or membership in a translators’ association is an advantage as is experience in financial and/or legal translation.
This position is a remote half-time position (20 hours/week). You can be based anywhere within the EU or the UK. Start date as agreed with Fluid Translation.
