Translator/Typist at the Embassy of Sri Lanka

The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Stockholm is currently looking for a Translator/Typist

Work description:
- Translate documents from Swedish into English and from English into Swedish.
- Collect information on Sri Lanka in printed and electronic media and process them as required.
- Assist Ambassador and the relevant Diplomatic Officers in preparing trade and political reports.
- Draft and type reports and documents of the duties assigned.
- Coordinate official work with Swedish Authorities

Minimum qualifications required:
The candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree. The candidate should have good IT-skills and must be fluent in English and Swedish. Danish and Finnish language skills are an added advantage.
Work experience in translating from Swedish/English and English/Swedish.
The candidate should also be service minded, flexible and be prepared to work in a multicultural environment.


Selection Process:

Applicants are selected for appointment on the basis of a written competitive test to identify the skill of Swedish and English languages.
