Transmission Calibration Engineer

Would you like to develop future engines and transmissions? We are looking for experienced Transmission Calibration Engineers. AVL Scandinavia PTE has approx 190 employees based in Haninge, Södertälje and Gothenburg. As an engineer at AVL you will work with cutting edge technology in collaboration with experts in the global AVL team and our successful customers. You will be working at our Tech centers in Södertälje and Haninge or as Resident Engineer at customers in Sweden or elsewhere in the world.

Your Responsibilities:
Lead and participate in complete transmission calibration projects for different types of transmissions (AMT, AT, DCT, CVT, etc.), both light and heavy duty vehicles
Calibration will typically be performed either towards shift quality or shift strategy
Contribute with methodology development, e.g. aid in further development of AVL calibration, simulation and driveability tools (Cameo, Cruise, Drive, etc.) as well as refining in-house tools developed in e.g. Matlab/Simulink
Troubleshoot existing calibrations with detailed root cause analysis through tests, calculations or other means available
Stay up-to-date with most recent technology findings within the field of transmission and drivetrain technology

Your Profile:
Excellent analytical capability
Good knowledge of machine elements, including clutches and hydraulic systems
Experience from product development of transmissions for light- or heavy-duty.
Knowledge in hybrid systems and/or electric machines is an advantage.
Knowledge in commercially available calibration/measurement tools (CANape, ATI Vision, CANalyzer, etc.) is an advantage
Very good social and communication skills in Swedish and English
Well organized and enthusiastic team member that can lead the work forward.
Eager to learn and guide your co-workers within your specialty
Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
