Transmission Controls Engineer

Would you like to develop future engines and transmissions? We are looking for experienced Transmission Controls Engineers algorithm development. AVL Scandinavia PTE has approx 190 employees based in Haninge, Södertälje and Gothenburg. As a development engineer at AVL you will work with cutting edge technology in collaboration with experts in the global AVL team and our successful customers. You will be working at our Tech Centers in Södertälje and Haninge or as Resident Engineer at customers in Sweden.

Your Responsibilities could be:
Lead and develop the transmission function development related activities at our Tech Centers
Develop transmission control algorithms at our Tech Centers
Perform heavy duty transmission calibration/function development in customer projects
Trouble-shoot and/or improve existing transmission controllers and calibrations
Propose additional functionalities to improve transmission control system performance
Develop transmission control system functionality in collaboration with AVL experts


Your Profile:
Masters degree in Engineering or equivalent
Experience in control algorithm development of transmissions for heavy or light duty machines and vehicles
Significant experience in using technical computing environments like Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow or similar.
Genuine interest in transmission and engine technology and experience in technological development
Knowledge in heavy duty or light duty present and future transmission technologies
Very good social and communication skills in English and Swedish
User of application and data logging tools such as Inca, Vision, Canalyzer or similar
Eager to learn and guide your co-workers within your specialty ? transmission control systems and calibration
You are prepared to travel to our customers
